Philadelphia residents need something done about PGW. They are a utility that is out of control. They randomly apply bills to ratepayers that they have no knowledge about until they sell their property and go to closing. Then your settlement is delayed because you have to spend time fighting with them. I worked at PGW in the past and got to see first hand the waste that goes on there. I will take this wherever necesary to get this straightened out. I have sold my house and can't close because of a bill that was unknown to me. I was told that we ran up a bill for $8,200 from 98-99, they set that account aside and opened a new one. The story gets worse. But I am in a fix at this point. I am ready to go to the news media and court. I hope that Mayor Nutter's office can lend me some assistance in this matter. You may reach me at (215) 875-3096 or (267) 979-3630. Please help. Thank you.

MAYOR NUTTER IS THE LEADER OF OUR CITY. I FOUND IT QUITE OFFENSIVE WHEN HE SAID"IF PHILADELPHIA TRANSIT OFFICERS WANT TO BE PAID LIKE PHILADELPHIA POLICE OFFICERS THEY SHOULD JOIN THE PHILADELPHIA POLICE DEPARTMENT". THESE ARROGANT OFFENSIVE WORDS FROM OUR CITY LEADER IS NOT NEEDED IN A TIME OF CITY CRISIS. THE TRANSIT OFFICERS ARE VERY IMPORTANT TO ALL CITIZENS WHO DEPEND ON PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION AND THEY SHOULD NOT BE OFFENDED IN THAT WAY. I FEEL THE MAYOR OWES THEM AND THE CITIZENS OF PHILADELPHIA AN APOLOGY. REMEMBER MAYOR NUTTER WORDS CAN BE SWORDS AND IT IS YOUR JOB TO MAKE THIS CITY A BETTER, MORE HARMONIOUS PLACE TO LIVE.
